SO what our human being should do? or just let it be?
oh, NO! Don't forget: WE..ARE..H..U..M..A..N!! -the smartest and the most brilliant animal who is capable of decoding some certain nature law and utilize / manipulate them for whatever reason(s).
WE CAN "FIX" ANY PROBLEM. The time of DE-EXTINCTION is coming!
It sounds GREAT, AMAZING, COOL, FANCY, REVOLUTIONARY, INTRIGUING, GORGEOUS, SPLENDID, GLORIOUS, MAGNIFICENT, AND PERFECT.
But, LET'S SEE SOME MANTIS'S ANNOYING AND CONCERNING COMMENTS in the face of almost unlimited power of our high-biotech:
- If the animal's (mass) extinction is the result of "natural selection" (I don't agree with it. I believe they are UN-naturally extinct), bringing them back to life could intervene in other living animals' ecosystem.
- What on earth we want to do? REWRITE OR UNDO OUR HISTORY at all costs? (I like the word "undo", yes, we can undo a lot.)
- If we could revive any extincted animal, whether we don't need to care about our environment any more, since anyway we can "pull" anything back very easily in the future.
- If they are brought back into our life, whether they are what they were, or they are another NEW species? How do we know?
